With a focus on pushing music from a close circuit of friends and colleagues across its catalogue to date, Tact Recordings has established itself as a label known for pushing consistently quality productions across both digital and physical formats since it’s inception in 2011. Following the launch of sub-label ‘Tactics’, picking up notable support from the likes of Raresh, Dorian Paic and Andrey Pushkarev in the process, the focus is shifted back towards main label Tact as they welcome new name ‘Naceiae’ for a debut EP, accompanied by a pair of heady remixes from label founders Yard One and fletcher.

Nacieae’s ‘001.1’ opens the EP as woozy soundscapes and hazy textures float over dubbed out percussion, before flowing effortlessly into the second of two original productions. More stripped back in nature, the focus within ‘001.2’ is shifted towards intricate and melodic sound design, as resonant chords and trickling synth lines meet sporadic and off-kilter background nuances and glitches.

On the flip, fletcher’s remix of ‘001.1’ offers up a cut perfect for the afterhours, yet maintaining the tranquil and delicate qualities of the original, before Yard One’s Reshape of ‘001.2’ punctuates the package, employing swinging drum licks and dubby atmospherics to turn in yet another classy interpretation on the label.
